First Time Homebuyer Education

Community Concepts Agency, Inc. is proud to offer classes for individuals who are seeking to own a home, or for home owners who seek to learn more about home management.  

 

CCA  provides comprehensive eight-hour First Time Homebuyer Education that includes all the information needed for individuals to purchase, maintain, rehab, and insure a home.  Attendants who attend the full eight-hour course will receive a Homebuyer Education Certificate, which many lenders now require before issuing a home mortgage.  

 

I.   Orientation:  Explore the pros and cons of home ownership, as well as the added responsibilities of home ownership today and into the future.

 

II.  Budgeting and Credit:  Learn money management skills to increase your fiscal awareness, to empower you to manage a mortgage in the future.              Also, learn how Credit works and how to improve your score.

 

III. Shopping for a Home:  Learn how to shop for a home by utilizing a Realtor,  a Home Inspector, Insurance Agent, and Lender.

 

IV. Completing the Deal:  Learn to review and understand the documents involved in the loan and closing processes.  Understand the difference between  closing costs and down payment.
